The Bothy Experience, home of the award-winning Gin Bothy is nestled in the historic village of Glamis in Angus, minutes from Glamis Castle.

Broughty Ferry

Broughty Ferry is a historic seaside suburb with a great variety of independent bars and restaurants and boutiques.

Broughty Castle and Museum sits by the seashore overlooking the River Tay and is well worth a visit. During the summer months, a pod of dolphins can often be spotted in the estuary. The 'Ferry' as it's known by locals, is has a cosmopolitan feel and excellent fish restaurant called The Ship Inn.

Downfield Golf Club is located 20 minutes drive this James Braid designed parkland course is a jewel in the city of Dundee. Underestimated, Paul Lawrie has described it as one of the finest inland courses anywhere in the world. Discounted rates apply to Woodlands Hotel guests.

Ladybank Golf Club

Designed by Old Tom Morris, Ladybank Golf Club is a tremendous inland course. It makes great use of its heathland terrain and has changed a little over the years, requiring the golfer to display real precision to hit the small and often contoured greens.
